In conjunction with the University of Pittsburgh SBDC, the Northside
Fund assists local businesses to prepare business plans which assess management, operations, market,
competition and financial plans.
Site Location Assistance
The Northside Fund assists companies seeking to locate or expand on the Northside. The organization also helps
building owners and developers identify new tenants.
To facilitate bidding and communication among Northside companies, the Northside Fund has recently launched www.northsidebiz.com. This website provides an Internet and Intranet capacity to promote the interests of Northside businesses. It also features:

Lynn Weber of The Urban Gardener received a PowerLink Scholarship from the Northside Fund in 2003
The Northside Fund provides partial scholarships to enable Northside women business owners to enroll in PowerLink, a non-profit organization providing professional advisory teams to facilitate the growth of women-owned businesses in the Pittsburgh region.
Technology Zone Support Services -
The Northside Fund provides technology zone grants, technology plans, and bidding assistance for qualified businesses throughout the Northside.
